Since 2009 Your Bike Project has been teaching young people cycle maintenance, cycle provision and cycle safety while providing them a free bike. We offer apprenticeships and other opportunities such as mechanic training. We encourage a healthier lifestyle, mental well-being and social cohesion through cycling within the community.
Your Bike Project creates a safe space for at-risk, inner city young people. At our community workshops, we provide an environment that enables people to understand and solve mechanical problems and situations. This results in a greater awareness in young people, allowing them to make better choices for their community and future.
Your Bike Project has been working with the London Mayors Office to ensure at least 50
percent overall project users are BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic Groups) from Camden, London. Moreover, it ensures inclusivity by promoting cycling among underrepresented communities, bridging gaps in diversity within the-cycling sector, providing accessible, eco-friendly transport and promoting well-being through cycling. This actively combats inequality and empowers individuals from diverse backgrounds, promoting them into greener job opportunities.
Your generous donation will enable us to continue our practices enriching the community and empowering marginalised people and groups.
